iPhone 16 Series: Body Design Outlook and Camera
While Apple has retained the body design for the iPhone 15 in most cases, for its new series, the camera design has been tweaked to look like the iPhone 12. The rear camera has been placed vertically instead of the usual Apple design. This enables the camera to capture spatial videos, which only works when both cameras are recording at the same time to get the required depth effect.
Another significant change in the body design of this new series is the Action button (sidebar removed), which can be used as a shortcut for launching and turning on the torch.
The camera features include 1/1.56″, 1.0µm, dual pixel PDAF, and sensor-shift OIS for iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, while the Pro ones have a triple camera with a 48 MP wide-angle lens (2nd generation quad-pixel sensor) along with a new 48 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens that have a five times optical zoom. One of the great new features of the pro version is that their camera can now support 4k videos with a 120 Hz frame rate.

iPhone 16 Series: Battery Life and Duration
All the phones in the iPhone 16 series have a Lithium-Ion non-removable type battery, with a 2.0 power delivery (PD 2.0) option that can charge the battery up to 50% capacity in 30 minutes (according to the Apple advertisement). Also, the phones have a 25-watt wireless charging option and a 15-watt variation Qi2 (the latest standard in wireless charging technology). Additionally, it also has a 4.5-watt wired USB cable. iPhone 16 Series Chipset: Two-Year Advancement
All iPhone 16 models use an A18 chip, though the Pro models have an A18 Pro chip with additional graphics. A18 Pro —Put together, they outperform the A17 Pro’s CPU by 15% while using 20% less power. The neural engine (NPU, Neural Processing Unit) is more powerful, too, which will be helpful for running Apple Intelligence features on the device.
The difference lies within the GPU and the image processing capabilities. The non-Pro iPhones do not have “Advanced media” features, and their GPU has a 5-core instead of a 6-core setup. It’s still pretty fast, and as Apple claims, it offers a 40% boost in graphics performance over the predecessor A16 Bionic and uses 35% less power, too.
